Since 1979, the St. Vincent & The Grenadines Association of Ottawa has been uniting the community preserving our heritage & traditions.

On December 27, 2020, there was a warning issued for La Soufriere Volcano. The UWI-SRC officials reported tremors, strong gas emissions and the formation of a new volcanic dome within the volcano’s crater.

Responding to COVID-19 To reduce the impacts of COVID-19, everyone has a role to play. Find out what to do!

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Ottawa (SVGAO) was founded by Vincentians in Ottawa on October 27, 1979, the same date our native homeland gained full independence from Britain and the year of the eruption of the volcano, La Soufriere.

SVGAO promotes and supports civic engagement locally as well as in our native homeland. We work in partnership with other Vincentian and other ethnic and cultural groups in Canada who share a common goal with us.
